Forever Home Needed – Cat – White (Sapphire)

Sapphire was originally an RSPCA kitten.  She and her 4 brothers and sisters were dumped at Holmes Jungle around 3 years ago.  Fortunately Sapphire and one of her sisters, Silver, were rescued by a caring person who witnessed the dumping and brought the kittens to the RSPCA.  Both girls found a home together but Silver became quite ill and died.  2 years later, Sapphire was no long wanted as a baby was on the way.  She was taken in to another home otherwise she would have been handed into an animal welfare centre.  Her new owner has discovered that she is partially blind.  This makes her even sweeter but unfortunately she is stressing with the other cats around particularly because she can’t see them clearly.

Heartbreaking as it is, we need to find Sapphire her perfect home and this is one where she is the only cat in the home.  We are prepared to work with the new owners as she is a special needs cat but one who will reward you with sweetness and smooches.

Lost – Dog – Staffy (Jersi)

Dark Brindle Staffy with white chest and liitle white socks on front feet and white on muzzle due to age (8yrs )Female desexed and microchipped but no collar. Missing from Gray last nite (13/11/09) running scared from fire crackers answers to the name of Jersi. Very friendly

Reunited – Dog – Black Lab type

This dogs owner collected him this morning after receiving my number from the DCC Pound. He was very close to home when found yesterday but as it had only just arrived at the BMX site the caretaker was not aware of it when the finder enquired there.

Can you please post a dog on TELAF for me, photo attached (not a very good one as it will not stand still but anyone who knows it will get the idea) It is a young desexed male black labrador looking dog no markings at all, black cloth collar no tags. I have not checked for microchip as yet will do it tomorrow. It was found at BMX track gate Marrara late arvo Friday 13/11/09 very friendly and well cared for. He can stay with the finder or myself until his owner turns up.

Found – Cat – Dark tortoiseshell (PAWS)

Tha Animal Rescue Centre have been handed in an entire female dark tortoiseshell cat. She is an adult and was found washed down a drain in the Bakewell area on the 12/11/09.

Found – Dog – Staffy type

A very friendly dog wandered up to the family to say hello as we came home this afternoon (Thurs. 12 Nov. 09) He is an entire male, black/brown in colour, with a few white markings. He also has some grey around his muzzle, so I’d say he’s getting on in years. Looks like a staffy. He is also scared of storms and thinks people can save him from them.  He had no collar. We live in Leanyer, and can be contacted on 89274589.  Please call anytime. I am keeping him here tonight, but will probably have to find somewhere else for him tomorrow. Will update as needed.

Lost – Bird – Alexandrine Parrot (Lulu)

Lost: Alexandrine Parrot “Lulu”. Bright/light green body and darker green wings, scarlet shoulder patches, red top beak, orange lower beak. Lost in Fannie Bay area 11/11/09. Tame. Approx 3 yrs old. Talks a little bit…. Where’s Jamie, Hello, but mostly copies a ring tone, wolf whistles, and other whistles, and bird  noises. Much loved pet. Tame. Please call John on 0414 827 188.

Lost – Cat – Ginger and White (Murphy)

Murphy is now about 3 years old, very small for her age. She went missing from the Stuart Park area. She is ginger with white socks and chest, desexed and microchipped. She has quite a square shaped head and big round eyes. She is very timid. Murphy has gone missing before and turned up days later so
I’m hoping this is the case as she has a mind of her own. Lately though she
has been happy to sleep in the carport and because another of my cats is missing, I am very worried. If anyone has seen her or knows what has

Found – Dog/puppy – very young tan mixed breed

a very young male tan mixed puppy about 4 weeks old give or take, has appeared on our door step on Reedbeds Rd South Darwin River tonight at 730pm. My children seen it earlier in the afternoon following a large white dog which we think it was its mother.

Lost – Cat – black and white (Tashi)

Tashi disappeared in the early hours of Wednesday 11^th November 2009.  A loud noise was heard in my carport and by the time I got out there, she was gone.  I fear for the worst as what I heard was very distressing.  Tashi is a black and white desexed female, 8 years old and microchipped.  She is a large cat with white socks, nose and chest.  She is very timid.   Last night she just would not come in.  If anyone knows what happened to her or has seen her in the Stuart Park area, dead or alive, please let me know.  I need to know what happened to her. Reward offered for her return!!!

Found – Cat – Ginger (PAWS)

The Animal Rescue Centre have been handed in a desexed and microchipped adult male Ginger cat. He is a very friendly boy and is a lightish ginger color. His microchip has no details on it and he seems to be a middle aged boy. He was found in the Durack area on the 11/11/09.

Reunited – Cat – Tortie/tabby (Maggie May)

Maggie May (Lost 23/8/09 from Bakewell) came home on Saturday night after 10 weeks missing. She is a little worse for wear as she has lost half her body weight & has some minor injuries (from other cats possibly). She had a vet check on Sunday & looks as though she should be ok. Maggie came home by herself – still don’t know: how, where, why she went missing & took so long to come home but now I am looking forward to spoiling her for many years to come. Can’t express enough just how happy we are to have her home again.

3 year old desexed female cat. Has tattoo in ear. Very shy & timid moggy. Has brownish tinge to her stripes. Last seen on Sunday 22/08/09 in Firefly Crt, Bakewell, NT 0832. Very much loved family cat & desperately wanted home safely. Thankyou.
