Reuniting lost and found pets with their humans

Lost – Dog – Girraween (Winnie)

7/3/14  Still no sign of Winnie to our despair. Would you mind re-posting her photo please?04/02/14 – Hey everyone, Winnie is still not home yet. Thanks to all those who are helping us look for her, we haven’t given up that we will find her and hope it is soon.

16/1/2014 It’s been over a week and still no sign of Winnie…
We received phone calls of a dog found at the Humpty Doo Pub yesterday that did match her description but unfortunately it wasn’t her, much to our despair. Winnie is still missing!
There is now a REWARD offered for anyone who has any information that would lead to her safe return home.
We have been advised she was sighted in a white Toyota 4×4 with an Alloy tray with a dog cage at the back with a space between it and the rear of the Cab, with a yellow esky in it at Caltex Palmerston a few days ago… There is a chance it may not be her, but if everyone could keep an eye out it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for your help all!

13 Jan – It has been 5 days and still no sign of Winnie. She was spotted on Wednesday 8 Jan in the morning walking along Ainsley(?)/Angelsey Rd in Humpty Doo area. Please, please if anyone has seen or found her please get in contact with us.

We have a fully fenced acreage, but unfortunately our beautiful little dog followed us out behind the automated gate yesterday morning when we left early to go fishing, and we were not alerted until our return from fishing late yesterday evening that she was missing.

LOST Winnie

We searched for hours last night, and I am putting a  pamphlets around the area. Winnie is micro-chipped, and she went missing from  Girraween Road

Missing since early hours of Wednesday 8 Jan 2014

Winnie is a much loved family pet. Please contact 0414 323 563 or 0421 915 652

  1. How big is Winnie please? She looks quite large in the photo, but from your description she sounds like a small dog.

  3. Winnie is still missing… If you wouldnt mind could you please re-post her photo so she can stay in the minds of followers? Thanks for your help.
Also Winnie is about knee height of an average height woman. She would be on the larger side of a small dog… Approx. 60cm high…

    • sorry to hear she is not yet home. I’ve put her post back towards the top. Maybe this might draw somebody’s attention and get some results. Fingers crossed

  5. Hang in there as have matched up dog after missing for 8 months, so don’t give up 🙂

There have been cases in media of much loved missing pets being found after much greater time than that also.

Maybe try putting up notices also in local shops / stores/boards near where she went missing also & further apart – as it usually makes people more alert to keeping eyes open.

Another episode was when we went for a days drive out to nowhere in particular – happened to stop at corner shop & read notice re ‘Lost’ dog with pic.

Drove about another 30 klms & stopped again at different local shopping centre & whilst waiting for a friend happened to see a ‘Found’ notice which looked very similar to earlier one so yes, you’ve guessed it, we got the details & then backtracked to first notice & rang owner of missing dog.

Was gratified later that eve to receive a call from owner who was absolutely delighted that was the same dog & now home after a few weeks missing.

  6. Hi there,

It’s now been 6 months since our beloved Winnie went missing. Still no sign of her – the reward still stands. I did receive a photo that may have been her in a car at Humpty Doo Shops 16/06/14 but as she would be fully grown now (she was 9 months when she went missing) it is hard to tell. We still think she has been stolen as we put posters EVERYWHERE for weeks afterwards and she is registered & micro-chipped. Would you mind re-posting her picture? I am hoping if she was stolen, she may have escaped their yard with the fireworks last night and could be sighted in the next few days.
Thank you for all your help.
