Warning to Palmerston (and Moil) cat owning residents

So far in 2009 there seems to be a disproportionate number of cats go missing from Palmerston as opposed to other areas – 25 from suburbs in Palmerston as opposed to 33 from all other areas (Dwn and rural). This is a head count of the ones which have not been reunited. (Goodness knows how many haven’t been reported on telaf)

Not sure what is going on but if you read this and own a cat or know of people who own a cat can you please warn them. Its always a good idea to keep your cat inside or allow outside under supervision and never at night.

it has just been reported that most of the cats in one street in Moil have also disappeared – around August – see comment

Lost – Cat – Ginger and White (Murphy)

Murphy is now about 3 years old, very small for her age. She went missing from the Stuart Park area. She is ginger with white socks and chest, desexed and microchipped. She has quite a square shaped head and big round eyes. She is very timid. Murphy has gone missing before and turned up days later so
I’m hoping this is the case as she has a mind of her own. Lately though she
has been happy to sleep in the carport and because another of my cats is missing, I am very worried. If anyone has seen her or knows what has

Lost – Cat – black and white (Tashi)

Tashi disappeared in the early hours of Wednesday 11^th November 2009.  A loud noise was heard in my carport and by the time I got out there, she was gone.  I fear for the worst as what I heard was very distressing.  Tashi is a black and white desexed female, 8 years old and microchipped.  She is a large cat with white socks, nose and chest.  She is very timid.   Last night she just would not come in.  If anyone knows what happened to her or has seen her in the Stuart Park area, dead or alive, please let me know.  I need to know what happened to her. Lost – Cat – Ginger (Rocky – RSPCA foster cat)

One of the RSPCA Foster cats has gone missing in the Leanyer area around 29th October His name is Rockey Male Ginger Tabby approx 5 months old. Desexed and microchipped but the chip is not register yet to an owner.
