Billy our fox terrier appeared at home yesterday morning hungry and very tired. The vet checked him over and he is all ok. I can’t believe he found his way home because he has only been in Darwin for a week. I am so happy and relieved he is home. Thankyou for your help.
A ginger cat has been roaming around the Stuart Park area - between Westralia and Charles Street for about 2 weeks. I am assuming he is male but can’t get close enough to see. He is a dark striped ginger cat with quite a fluffy tail with distinctive ginger stripes on it. His left ear has a definite fold upwards. He seems friendly but is very hungry and has lost weight since I first saw him. He will sit and watch me when I talk to him but won’t allow me to get any closer so he is not feral. He has been coming in to my carport to eat my cat’s biscuits.

My jet black cat has been missing from Bremer Street, Ludmilla since 18th May. Is very distressing. She is 6 years old, desexed. Unfortunately no collar, or microchip. She has moved house 3x and usually just does not stray. We did think she had the microchip as she came from the RSPCA in 2002, however they have since told us they did not do the microchip at that time. Anakin is her name, she is very cute and friendly. I don’t have a photo – however she looks just just Sideon on the home page of TELAF.
Female desexed cat, 6 years old, sleek and shiny black coat, yellow eyes. Is missing a toe from her left hind leg. Cute and friendly cat, medium build, long tail often shaped into a ? shape. Slightly bald patches developing in front of ears on top of her head. Likes being patted on her head.

14 yr old blind Truffles escaped from Nightcliff from a tiny hole in the fence this morning, how she found the hole is a mystery but she was taken to the pound (thank you to the person who picked her up). She was extremely disorientated and upset but has now been reunited with her owners who had spent all day looking for her and are at this minute fixing the fence!

We ran ads in the NT News on Tues, Wed & Saturday advising of a $500 reward, with the Sat one being successful. We also distributed posters via the school, shops, vets and hundreds of emails.
We believe he was removed from our compound at the caretakers residence at the Nakara Primary School on Friday night 23 May. The kidnappers had used a shopping trolley to scale our 8 foot fence and get him over the other side.
The people that rang us say their neighbour who is now on holidays found him wandering late that same night. We can only presume he escaped as his collar was missing. No doubt he would have a story to tell if only he could. Fortunately he was unharmed and stayed with these people until they saw our ad on Sunday.
We are thrilled to have him back, as he is happy to be home. He had lost some condition, which no doubt he will soon make up for. He is a big boy - 21 kg.
He was microchipped yesterday, so hopefully this will make it easier to id him in future.
ARCHIE is a very friendly desexed ginger male cat. Lost from Malak area on Sat 10 May 08. He is wearing a red flea collar with name tag and phone number.
He is three years old and has big round amber eyes. Very distinctive striped tail. He has been microchipped.

The RSPCA is often the place where lost animals end up. Please keep checking the shelter. Only you know your animal, the staff will not necessarily be able to identify your pet from others in the shelter.
This site is dedicated to Sideon – a special little ex feral kitten who became lost in the process of moving to his new home. It is thought that Sideon was up a tree for 5 days before Power and Water NT, with the help of RSPCA came to his assistance. Sideon would like to thank the person who responded to the letter box drop, Power and Water and RSPCA Darwin for his rather dramatic rescue.
